Dow Jones - Scalping and Trading

Just finished 2 scalping long trades. One was riskier than the other as I wanted a quick one and end the night with profits. In the end, I emerged with a win with a careful and fast game plan which averted some short term selling since both my positions were on the long. When doing scalping, the key thing is not about the direction of the movement but rather the price you got in and also the turning point in the chart. I was a little emotional on the first trade but the second one turned out to be good as I caught the turning point at the bottom of today. The market is a little tricky and tough today and with 2 wins, I shall end my night and enjoy my weekend with profits.

Dow Jones - $2100+ Profits on Short Term Trading

Personally I haven't been trading the US market for sometime. It could be the holiday season or it could be I am in the midst of recuperating and building new traders than making profits myself. However earlier, I traded 40 contracts of the Dow Jones and made $2100++ in a very short time frame. Longed the Dow Jones as the market was bullish and it moved higher and higher. Longed at the reaction point after a cob as I wasn't sure if the normal buying was going to be strong or just trending up/down slowly.

The Dow then pierced up and suddenly there was an opportunity to go in for a good trade. Entered at the red bar and the Dow Jones slowly shot up. I decided to take profits off the table than swing because I think it touched a supply zone where anything could happen. Protect my profits first and have a good night sleep so I have ample energy to gun the local market tomorrow. Looking forward to train more traders in my club.

Skillfully, I already locked in profits last evening BEFORE the market tanked down. As the Dow kept going up, the demand waned off and the buyers stopped buying which caused the sellers to start short selling after the profit taking and distribution. I am not lucky to sell near peak, but I am skillful to sell and take profits near peak because I had done it over and over again literally for almost 15 years!

Super impressive win from my student. Everything I taught him and everything that I shared, he's there to execute and getting the job done. See the amount of stocks he traded, very small lots but the wins he got was impressive because he rotated different stocks that have potential to breakout/breakdown.
